3. Have the right associations. Q: How successful are the people you associate with?
This is where I run into the situation were i can not make excuses. I live in a rural part in the Sierra Foothills. Even more people here think I live in the middle of nowhere. To go anywhere it is a minimum of a 20 minute drive. I associate with other parents of my kids and the employees at the grocery store on a daily basis. When it comes to work I really really on network virtually.
The main mentors I use right now are people from my office. I have been scribing to many different blogs, liking FB pages and everyday spending time on LinkedIn. I am what you would call "scared" to make any deep connections though. I think my biggest fear is rejection. Or why would this person want to waste their time with me. I have been putting in little comments here and there to start getting my feet wet.
My whole train of thought has been interrupted by the little one and I am done.
